Lockheed Martin Canada Welcomes Finnish Delegation
On Monday, April 13th, Lockheed Martin Canada welcomed a Finnish government and industry delegation to the Kanata facility for a collaborative information‑sharing session focused on international partnership and engagement.
The delegation was led by Sakari Puisto, Minister of Economic Affairs, alongside National Armaments Director Olli Ruutu and Tuija Karanko, Secretary General of the Finnish Defence and Aerospace Industries (PIA).
The visit opened with an overview of Lockheed Martin Canada delivered by Kristen Leroux, Vice President and Regional Executive, Canada and Latin America, and Robert Campbell, Acting General Manager. During a working lunch, Lockheed Martin Canada teams connected with representatives from more than 40 Finnish defence and security companies.
The session concluded with a Q&A supported by members of Global Affairs Canada’s new export division. The discussion highlighted Canada’s interest in strengthening international defence partnerships and the value of engaging with integrators like Lockheed Martin as Finnish companies explore growth opportunities in the Canadian market.
